To resolve this issue, you tried almost everything, from removing Skype completely to install Skype again and again from ‘Ubuntu Software Center’, ‘By downloading latest Skype .deb file and running it on machine’, but every time same result.?
If still you are facing the issue, then read below given instruction:-
Here is the solution:-
First, you need to remove the old version Skype:
sudo apt-get auto remove –purge Skype
You also need to remove the ~/.Skype folder
Then try with this
sudo add-apt-repository “deb https://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner”
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install skype && sudo apt-get -f install
(This method will automatically detect the OS architecture and install the latest Skype4.3)
